I want to acknowledge the emotional and mental health impacts that we all are feeling. When stress levels go up, self-care becomes especially important.
Follow these steps to tend to your anxiety;
- Ground yourself with mindfulness. Notice your breath, and get present by tuning in to the feel of your feel on the ground and by listening to the sounds around you.
- Ask yourself if there are any positive actions you can take right now to make things better, and name them!
- Put a hand on your heart and let your inner wisdom speak to your inner fear. Try saying “I am here and I see you” or “We got this.”
- Take positive action, starting with the actions you listed in Step 2, and then moving on to whatever other actions are needed to get you through your day.
